Creating in a World That’s Hurting
Share
There’s a particular kind of guilt that can surface when you’re creating something beautiful while the world feels unbearably heavy.
I know that feeling well.
But creating is not a betrayal of suffering.
It’s a response to it.
Art doesn’t turn away from pain.
It gives it somewhere to go.
It translates what the body already knows but can’t always say.
You’re allowed to imagine a future while acknowledging the present.
You’re allowed to tend your inner world while the outer one feels uncertain.
For some of us, creating isn’t indulgence.
It’s care.
